SCIENCE CASTLE in SINGAPORE is an international conference for youth researchers. It is a platform for Junior and Senior High School students to share their research and development projects with a focus on Science, Technology, and Engineering to solve social challenges faced in ASIA and/or the world in their mission to advance science and technology for the betterment of the society.
Science Castle in ASEAN will continue the base created during Science Castle in Singapore. The ASEAN Castle platform will attract students from the regions and from Japan to network like minded students. Through exchange of ideas and research findings, we hope to see new project comes out as a result.
This is a good opportunity for students who are:
1) Passionate about research in science and technology and bridging research and society
2) Interested in entrepreneurship
3) High motivation in discovering new knowledge to solve real-world issues
High School individuals who are working on research topics independently are welcome to showcase their work.
Students satisfy their curious minds about different fields at the conference as they connect and make friends with international students from Japan and Southeast Asia who are also passionate about research and innovation.
The theme for Science Castle ASEAN 2020 is “Taking action TODAY towards creating a brighter TOMORROW”
For 2020, we are calling for application in the following fields:
1) Environment related: such as Plastic Waste
2) Energy related: such as renewable energy, energy storage, energy usage analysis
3) Food: such as Science behind food or technology related to food
4) Natural Resources: such as utilizing natural resources, science behind natural remedies etc
5) Earth Science: such as science of soil etc
6) Space Science: such as planetary Science or science & technology that can be used in space
Underpinning this theme is a focus on persuading the younger generation to take action by applying their scientific knowledge and working as a global team to overcome challenges in the future.
The 2-day event will be held from the 4th to 5th November 2020 online broadcasting from Singapore.
The working language of the event is English.

All teams participating in the conference will be provided with mentoring sessions by the organizing committee to help them be able to explain their projects within the given time limit. More information will be provided to the participating teams.
Prizes
One team will be selected to join Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference in Singapore in Feb. 27 2021. This prize will be announced after the event around end of Nov. 2020.
